5 Ways to Show a Friend You Care
Tuesday, July 30 is the International Day of Friendship, and whether your friends are near or far, now’s the time to reach out and let them know you care. We’ve got ideas for you to spread the love with all of your friends!
Write a letter
Getting real life mail in the age of texting and instant messages gives us a thrill, how about you? Grab a funny card or just write a letter and pop it in the mail to let a friend (or many friends!) know you’re thinking of them. It doesn’t have to be long or detailed, just follow this quick and easy template for a note that will make them feel special no matter how long you’ve been friends:
Hey (name), I wanted to write a quick note because I was thinking of you and I appreciate our friendship! I am so proud of you for (friend’s recent accomplishment or general awesomeness) and I’m glad you’re part of my life. Stay awesome.
Cook a meal
Host a friendly pot-luck or board game night and cook a family style meal for your chosen family of friends who live nearby! Bonus points if you have a karaoke machine.
Offer free hugs
Pop on a free hugs tee shirt (or fist bumps, or whatever level of touch you’re comfortable with) and spend an hour in your town offering friendship and affection to the locals. New friends are always just around the corner!
Help out
If you have a friend nearby who needs a favor, offer it with no strings attached. Whether it’s a ride to a job interview or somebody to babysit while they take a much needed nap, do something kind for a friend in need to show you care.
Give a gift
If your friends are gift-lovers, finding the perfect thing to give them is a thrill. And since International Day of Friendship is pretty far removed from the standard gifting holidays, it’s even more fun to give a “just because” present to a friend!
We’re helping you out with this one, because all orders placed on our Amazon page between July 23 and July 30 will also receive two limited edition Wild Interiors enamel pins - one for you and one for a friend! Shop now so your plant arrives before International Day of Friendship next week.
