Decorating with Plants: Our Favorite Plant Displays
It’s no secret that plants can make any space look better. Whether you add a large floor plant to an empty living room corner, place a plant or two on a bedside table, or hang a plant near a bright kitchen window, there’s just something about them that elevates the aesthetic of a room. But what if you have more than “a plant or two” to decorate with? You’ve been adding to your collection for quite some time and it’s slowly starting to look like you’re losing a game of Jumanji in your home. We’re here for it though, and have gathered some of our favorite creative ways to decorate with plants and show off your ever growing plant collection!
What’s Propping?
If you’re looking to expand your plant collection, but you’re ballin’ on a budget, try propagating! Not only can you create a gorgeous feature wall with cuttings and clear vases, you’ll also be multiplying your collection in no time! We love this simple propagation wall created by @katstas_!

Hanging Out
Running out of places for your plants to sit? Grab some macrame hangers and go vertical with your plant display! Hang your light loving plants from curtain rods or a large tree branch, like @pnw_jungle! Just be sure the window that you choose does not receive harsh sunlight or your plant babies will get sunburnt!
Shelfie Goals
Shelves aren’t just for decor and books. Adding plants to shelves can bring texture and life to your walls. Take advantage of existing shelf space or find a spot for a tall narrow bookcase in your room for your plants! Try adding tall plants to your higher shelves so they have lots of room to grow upward and low profile plants to shorter shelves for them to trail downward.

Climbing Walls
Try turning your home into a jungle and allow your plants to climb the walls like @chicagogardener! Plants such as pothos, philodendrons, and ivy are all great trailing plants that can add some fun and interesting texture to your walls. The trick to achieving this unique look is to use clear command hooks to secure the plant’s vines on the wall.
Show Off Those Plants
Plants help create a lush feeling while adding different colors, and textures to your room. Whether you create a propagation wall, suspend multiple plants from macrame hangers, fill up your shelves, or let your plants climb the walls to create a dreamy jungle look, there are no set rules when it comes to decorating with plants. Just remember to have fun expressing your “wild” side!
