New Year, New Houseplants
2023 is wrapping up and as we countdown to New Year’s, it’s time to think about your plans for 2024. Here at Wild Interiors, we absolutely think those plans should include plants. Whether you’re moving to a new space or staying put, it’s never a bad idea to refresh your space at the start of a new year. It can help you get started with better habits, spice up your design and bring new energy into your home.
After you clean up and put away your holiday décor, take things a step further and find a way to ring in 2024 with good vibes. Here are a few helpful ways you can use plants to amp up your style for 2024.
Add new life to your space: A great way to do this is by bringing live plants home! Pets can be a huge responsibility for many, but plants are a great way to take care of a living thing, while still having room to make mistakes and figure out what works. Many of our plants, including spider plants and snake plants, are low maintenance. So even if you forget to water them here or there, they’ll still add life to your home!
Add some new color: This is another great way to brighten up your space or just change things up for the new year. You can find so many fun ways to add color, whether it’s with artwork, décor pieces or even colorful plants! We have several options with pink, white and orange combined with green – so whatever your décor style is, we have a plant to fit your look!
Rearrange your space: Remember when we were kids and we finally got permission to rearrange our room? That was so fun. But you can do the same as an adult! If you don’t have the budget to buy new furniture or plants, maybe just move them inside your space instead. New lighting or temperatures can encourage new growth for your plants (especially in the shadier months), and it can give your space a fresh look without having to break the bank.
Add some new texture: This is another fun way to mix up your space. There are so many items that have unique feel to them, like knitted blankets, fuzzy or velvet pillows and even plants! Grab yourself an Alocasia or Calathea with a velvet-like touch to it, or a super silky Philodendron – either way, you will have a beautiful plant to look at and touch!
What are some of your new year’s resolutions and décor goals? We’d love to hear about them in the comments and on social. Make sure you tag us if you pick up a Wild Interiors plant at your local store!
