How to Make a DIY Succulent Centerpiece
We are all about natural decor, especially when it showcases the beauty of plants! Create a living decor piece perfect for Thanksgiving, a fall wedding, or any other gathering with this succulent centerpiece that doubles as mini succulent party favors.
You will need:
Wood slices with bark - one per table
Wild Interiors 5” Succulents - one per table
Wild Interiors Mini Succulents - one per seat
Lace and/or satin ribbon
Decorative moss or other seasonal decor like autumn leaves or rose petals
Chalkboard paint and chalk (if you want to make table numbers)
Step One
Tie ribbon around the 5” pot and mini pots. You can make a bow or simply trim off the excess.
Step Two
Arrange the 5” succulent in the center of the wood piece, surrounded by the mini succulents.
Step Three
Add decorative moss, leaves, or petals around the mini succulents at the base of the 5” pot for an extra touch of rustic decor.
Step Four
For weddings or parties with numbered tables, make chalkboard labels to display the table number. Paint over the wooden pick that comes in your 5” succulent with chalkboard paint, and let it dry. Add a table number with chalk. Hang onto the care picks for the mini succulents so your guests can take them home.
If you’re creating a Thanksgiving centerpiece, paint the entire pot and invite people to write what they are thankful for on the pot during dinner. You can glaze over the pot afterward and save it for next year!
Repeat the process for each table. You can also add candles to your centerpieces if you have space and want to.
If you’re having long tables instead of circular tables, you can place a centerpiece every few feet, allowing enough mini succulents for each seat at the table so that everyone can take a mini succulent home.
